I'm in the midst of reading the book "Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism" by ChÖgyam Trungpa.
Sometimes, I am STRUGGLING to get through the book. Other times I'm like, HOLY SH**T, it all makes sense! And other times, I come across great quotes.
In the background with the floppy cute face and ears is Hoss. He TOTALLY photobombed this picture I took earlier this summer of a nasturtium.
Hoss is definitely the boss.
This here is my pal Hank. He is a dog, not a dingo. But darn hilarious, don’t you think?!
I was walking by this morning as I usually do, puttering around getting the day started, and I just HAD to snap a photo of this wonderful moment. And I realized how blessed I am. I have these moments all day, almost every day. Living with four dogs, 4 cats, and 3 horses provides ceaseless opportunities like these.
As it is Giving Thanks week, it is a reminder to me to pause and reflect on all that I am appreciative and grateful for - such as heartwarming moments (and friends!) like these.
"We spend our lives searching for something we think we don't have,
something that will make us happy.
But the key to our deepest happiness
lies in changing our vision of where to seek it."
~ Sharon Salzberg
